Accessibility
Last updated: July 27, 2026
We want every customer to be able to shop here. This page sets out the standard we work to, what we have done, where we fall short, and how to get help.
Our commitment
The Auto Rack is committed to making our store usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. We aim to provide goods and services in a way that respects dignity, independence, integration and equal opportunity, consistent with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and its customer service standards.
Standard we work to
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. Accessibility is treated as ongoing work, not a one-time project, and is considered when we build new features.
What we have done
- semantic page structure with headings, landmarks and descriptive page titles
- keyboard navigation throughout, including menus, filters and dialogs, with Escape to close overlays
- visible focus indicators and accessible names on icon-only buttons
- alternative text on meaningful images, with decorative images hidden from screen readers
- colour combinations chosen for contrast against our dark interface
- respect for the “reduce motion” system setting, which disables animations
- touch targets sized for comfortable use on phones, and layouts that reflow without horizontal scrolling
- form fields with associated labels and clear, text-based error messages
Known limitations
Some areas may not yet fully meet our target, including third-party components we do not control (such as the hosted payment page) and product information supplied by manufacturers, where images and descriptions come from external sources.
If you encounter a barrier anywhere on the site, please tell us — reports directly shape what we fix next.
